In a game where batsman struggled from both sides with only two going past 20, the bowlers dominated from both sides under bathing afternoon sun.
In an impressive showing with the ball, Vinay found good rip off the wicket and accounted for 3 wickets. Vinay found dip and short spin and bowled to a cleaver plan when the batsmen were trying to hit him across the line. His wickets were a joy were classing leg-spinners wickets having two batsmen caught trying to turn him to leg and getting their leading edges for easy catches. Bowling first, after the openers had given RNW a good start and a big total looming, Ananth brought his side back in with his cagey flight and subtle changes of pace. POTM: Jobin Varghese
On a day when the team resumed its cricket almost exactly after three months the rustiness showed. It was important that ones more regular and in touch over the last months stood up for the team.
Jobin took the responsibility of opening with bat and ball and followed up his half-century and 4-wicket haul three months ago against the same team with a fluent half-century and kept it tight with the ball in an economical spell.
In a close game that was fought well to the finish, Jobin’s contribution with bat gave his team a fighting total to defend. Jobin followed up his half century with a good opening burst with his opening partner Bhargav that kept the opposition batsmen in check and returned to pick up an important wicket in his second spell to push the game to a tight finish.

POTM: Syed Shoukath
Shoukath has become the most reliable batsman for his team steering the batting innings for his team. He found himself walking-in early after another shaky start at 31/3 that soon became 34/5. First, he put on an entertaining 47-run partnership for the 6th wicket with Bhargav and opened out to play punishing strokes in two dominating partnerships of 59 runs and 43 runs with the determined Prithvik and Yugank for 7th and 8th wickets respectively.
His dominating 65-ball knock of 86 runs took his team from the depths of 34/5 to a respectable 197 all out in the 30 over game that saw fortunes ebb and flow, tension see-saw and end in near darkness with One Day Warriors putting on the required 22 runs for the last wicket to win a thrilling contest.
